Aware I haven't been on here for a long time. Summer has been great. We've cooked and eaten outside, we've been for walks on moorland and spent lots of time at the beach. We've been crabbing and for rides on a steam train. We've been on a boat trip to see the seals at North Norfolk, something I've wanted to do for years, and we've travelled from East to West seeing friends and family. I've so enjoyed spending my days enjoying the countryside and coast, and feel ready to face, what always feels like a new start, in September.
Visualising how I see my ideal life has been a preoccupation over the summer break. I have managed to get a small part time job. Its only in our village shop, but it fits around my family which is the most important thing for me at the moment. There are other things I want for myself and my family, and feel that picturing these may help me achieve them. I may use these plans in my work over the autumn and winter.
Its been a pretty long break, aside from taking photographs and being inspired by what I see, from being creative. I want to correct this situation as I'm never quite happy unless I am planning, painting and drawing. I WILL finish the long awaited Debbie illustrations and I WILL make a start on the series of stories I've had to one side for a long while. One is completely mapped out, so its just a case of setting to the final pieces. I have another that needs to be sent out to some more publishers.
I have a photographic competition to enter, and will be going through my photos very soon. Don't think it'll be very easy to choose one picture for it.
I also plan to make Christmas presents for my family this year-with the exception of the kids. So plenty to go on with.
I am looking forward to the Autumn, and can feel it coming with the sharp nip in the air the last few mornings. Its such a beautiful month, so there will be plenty of photos on their way I'm sure. For now, here are some recent summer ones although more will follow once I've decided which one I'll enter into the competition....

My poor little one fell of her bike and landed on her face at the beginning of the holidays. Here we are on a steam train in Somerset. |
